A New Adventure

Yes, I'm laughing because I have gone back to work!  What about retirement, you ask?  Well, this little adventure is only for six weeks.  I wanted something different to do, and I sure got that.  I'm working as a legal secretary doing tasks and projects I'm unfamiliar with.  Fun times!  I do enjoy a challenge and I'm sure based on my past performance, I'll have this job down within a week.  I have orientation on Monday and went in last Thursday and Friday to be trained.

Retired at 62

When the offer came, I was stunned.  "I only have three years to go," I thought to myself.  "I'm not ready."  But then, I thought about I was actually being offered and realized very quickly that my thinking about retirement had always been based on other peoples' dreams.  Ultimately, I knew that if I could be able to afford my basic necessities, with a little left over to save for travel, I could take this step at any time.

Simple pleasures are just that: simple! Forget fancy and think basic, everyday things that brighten your mood when you take time to notice them. 

1) Being outside: 
Fresh air boosts your mood and your vitamin D levels.

2) Seeing someone you love: It doesn't matter if the last time you saw them was 5 weeks or 5 minutes ago. It rocks every time.

3) Being home alone: You hear that? Nope, we didn't either. And it's glorious. 

4) Dancing: Nothing makes dinner taste as delicious as a kitchen dance party...
